Project schedule
Goal:
To develop the capacities of individuals on energy conservation techniques in the identified areas with no previous exposure to such initiatives.
Objective:
Develop the required training material on energy conservation and efficient use of available resources. The material as such to be useable as best practices and methodology in similar initiatives, after culmination of the proposed project (the training material to include techniques on efficient usage of firewood, kerosene oil, dung, charcoal, coal, and LPG. Use of other means to be particularly encouraged instead of wood from forests).
Train and build capacities of BEFARe school teachers in refugee camps about energy conservation and efficient use of available resources.
Train and build capacities of community representatives and households, engaged through BEFARe SMCs about energy conservation and efficient use of available resources .
Project description
The responsibilities under the project included the development of a manual on energy conservation and training of 1,000 teachers and 2,098 community members at the grassroots level on efficient ways of energy conservation and pollution in the context of improving livelihood conditions. The program enhanced capacities of 1,000 teachers and 2,000 community members.
