BEFARe contributes to GBV initiative of IMC..

BEFARe organized functions at its schools in Peshawar, Swabi and Mardan for International Medical Corps (IMC) for creating awareness regarding Gender Based Violence (GBV).
Students delivered speeches and participated actively in various competitions besides presenting a drama on the issue. Debaters highlighted the importance of female education, women rights, child rights, hygiene, and the role of mothers in the development and socialization of children.
Members of health committees, school management committees (SMCs), supervisors, teaching staff and a large number of students participated in the functions.
Mr. Jehangir Ali Khan, Country Director IMC, Mr. Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Project Manager COPE, Mr. Kashif Naseem, SOM Mardan distributed prizes and gifts among the best performers in Mardan.   BEFARe is contributing to the GBV initiative of IMC by offering its staff and students for orientation on GBV issues among Afghan communities.
