Project schedule
To collect and register all teacher training materials (including books, booklets, available lecture notes, mimeographed papers, course outlines, teachers' guides, etc.), which are being used by the project partners in the CIDA-AREP project, GTZ, IRC, OI and UNESCO.
To document a list of materials frequently used by other relevant organizations. ?
To make a brief summary of the materials used by the CIDA-AREP project partners. When materials are in Pashto/Dari, titles of books and courses, etc., shall be translated into English.
To make a qualitative review of key aspects of these materials with respect to the content. Emphasis shall be placed on subject areas covered and comprehensiveness of coverage, relevance of content, and type and relevance of teaching-learning methods. Gender aspects shall be given attention.
To consider overall relevance/relationship between the teacher training content and materials with the situation in the primary schools for refugees run by CIDA-AREP partners, in particular as regards curricula/syllabuses and teaching materials.
Project description
BEFARE collaborated with UNESCO to develop training material on peace education and gender equality and organize workshops to resource persons on the subject matter i.e., MTs, students and community members. BEFARe has historically been known for its role in developing peace education, conflict resolution and gender equity materials and integrations of these themes into its formal and non-formal education.
