An Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU) has been specifically established within the organization, to monitor projects on behalf of donors, governmental departments and international agencies. The IMU has monitored hundreds of USAID funded projects implemented under the FATA Development Program. The nature of the projects have ranged from education, health, roads, water supply schemes, flood protection walls, up-gradation of government offices, equipping press clubs etc. The monitoring has included looking critically at the projects starting from the approval process to community involvement to actual implementation and sustainability as well as long term benefits to the communities and their perception about the GoP.
