BEFARe is supporting the development of a global manual for refugee and emergency teacher training. The assignment is the second phase of the project which was started in 2005 with the support of the UNHCR-Geneva incorporating the review of teacher training material of over sixty organizations world wide followed by a workshop and presentation of recommendations by emergency education experts. The manual is in its final stages of development and is expected to be completed by the end of January 2007.

BEFARe’s responsibilities involved validation of Literacy Centres (LCs) of Literacy For All (LFA) project of Elementary Education Foundation (EEF) of 512 literacy centers with more than 10,000 course participants.
