Deepening Democracy and Election Support in Pakistan • Project location : Attock
• Project start and end dates : August 2016 – February 2017
The Project involves a seven-month field work on registration of unregistered women, minority and citizens with disabilities as voters, observation of ECP’s display of draft electoral roll in Aug and Sep 2016, assessment of final voters’ lists, building civil society alliances in districts for influencing political parties for their manifestos for GE 2018 and engaging with youth and students on pro-democracy narrative. These field activities will be complemented by advocacy campaigns on voter registration, electoral literacy and respect for diversity and tolerance at the Secretariat level. Field activities will be implemented in those pockets of district Attock with higher gap in women voter registration. The Secretariat has identified the registration deficit areas down to the electoral area level (the smallest possible geographical unit comprising 200-250 household) for facilitation.
