BEFARe extends health services to 2809 people in SWA

BEFARe is implementing Improved Child Health Program (ICHP) in far-flung, non-LHWs-covered regions of South Waziristan Agency (SWA).
14 Child Health Days were conducted benefiting a total of 2600 children and 208 mothers.
For every CHD community mobilization is carried out for the local community awareness. Approximately 15 people are contacted before every CHD. in the month April an average of 280 patients benefited from 14 CHDs.
BEFARe Health Activists and Lady Health Workers (LHWs) carried-out 120 Awareness Sessions to sensitize community members on importance of availing health services offered during CHDs. 1145 participants attended Awareness Sessions.
The activities of ICHP were concluded in April 2010.
