Project description
BEFARe with the support of Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (AAR, Japan) is providing stationary and sports equipment in selected 32 BEFARe schools in Abbottabad, Mansehra and Haripur Afghan Refugee camps running with the support of UNHCR to provide education to Afghan Refugee children. BEFARe understands and knows that healthy sports is a sure confidence building activity and delivers a sound mind to a healthy body. Schools already have sports periods thrice a week and a teacher is assigned for it. But these schools lack sports equipment to take full advantage of the allocated time and opportunity. BEFARe has identified stationary support in the form of immediate stationery items along with Sports equipment for refugee school children as a priority for this project. The proposed sports equipment will be used to play games under the guidance of school assigned teachers that will help make the playtime more interesting, appealing and result in healthy exercise, disciplined conduct and building positive attitudes among students.
