Project description
BEFARe worked with the IRC to support the on-going Community Oriented Primary Education (COPE) project. Support from PRM/IRC was used to complement provision of education services to over 35,000 students, 38 head teachers, 388 teachers and other school staff. The support provided through this facility was directly geared towards development of the prevailing condition of Afghan refugees through sustenance of the provision of basic education for the refugee children and to shore up the support to the development of human resource base of trained teachers, who could contribute to the educational system inside Afghanistan after repatriation.
